The motor is getting super hot and has a burning electrical smell to it. The water pump was making noises. There?s a loud screeching noise on spin cycle I couldn?t pin point it because it went into unbalanced load after trying to spin for 5 seconds. Going to be at least $900 to repair. I drained the remaining water from the tub and filter with my wet vac. I found two combs and a big wad of lint in the drain hose from the tub to the filter. This was causing a blockage that was preventing the washer from draining properly. Once I cleaned out the hose I filled and drained the washer four times to make sure it was draining and that the pump was working properly.

The Maytag washer is making a noise on site. The noise is coming from the drain pump which has a pulley wheel attached to it. The belt is showing signs of wear and tear. Both parts will need to be replaced.
The roper washers cold water was not on, which can disrupt cycles based on the selected settings. The roper washer passed all diagnostic test, and has no stored error codes. Advised to run a full cycle and see if they continue to have the same issue.

I couldn?t get it squeak or make any noises. I checked it over I found the transmission is leaking oil onto the belt and the pulley so that could def make some noises and cause issues. This unit appears to be only a few years old. According to the sticker it has a 10 year warranty on the transmission. I suggest she calls ge and have them warranty it.
