Dishwasher quit in the middle of a cycle. There was no power to the user interface. I pulled the cover off to check to see if there was power to the dishwasher. That?s when I found that the main power wire was melted and had a bare spot that was grounding out to the inside of the cover. I cut back and repaired the wires. I installed new wire nuts. Ran and tested the dishwasher and it is workin great. Also note it?s a condo and the unit next door lost power the same morning the dishwasher stopped. Possible a power sired in the building?

Ran auto diagnostic cycle. Unit does not agitate or spin properly. Noise heard during both. Inspected under carriage. No signs of shaved plastic or belt. Hand spin basket and lower drive train appears good. Removed agitator. Found stripped drive hub. Inspected splines and splines are good. Ran agitate without agitator and noise still heard. Ran agitate with belt off and noise is from motor. Motor drive pulley slipping causing additional noise. Needs new motor and drive hub. Motor has 10 year warranty from Maytag. Customer advised to contact Maytag for motor and repair can be completed.

Measured following temps: 20 degrees in FZ. 62 in FF section. Put unit in diagnostic. Temp sensors relaying proper temperatures and PCB interpreting properly. Frost pattern is good. Evap fan not running. No current coming to Evap fan from ACU when door switch is held down. Fan feels heavy resistant when spin by hand. Neither the Evap fan or the PCB are available anymore. This unit will not cool the FF section until freezer reaches requested temp. Since freezer is unable to do so FF section is warm. Ice/water switch sends signal through UI then to PCB to perform an action. UI is also unavailable. Customer looking at replacement options,
