With the door not closing all the way that would account for the 12? difference in temp. Also the knobs and panels around them were burning to the touch due to door not closing properly and heat escaping.

Front left burner would hurt off when on high, tested switch at L1 and L2 and it was bad when I tested burner it was good. A new switch was installed and burner is now working without issues.
