The drive motor has an inverter board that is built into it. The inverter computer board is throwing a lid lock code. The lid lock is working fine. When the lid is open he machine. It?s going to be $400 for the motor plus labor and everything. The cost of repair is going to $665
I suggest going with a whirlpool brand washer top load which is Amana maytag kitchen aid or roper. Lg top load is also ok of a machine. No Samsung or GE

The unit will fill with water and drain that is it. It doesn?t wash or spin the clothes. The basket doesn?t move. I went into diagnostic mode and found a few error codes. 3c2 error is the main one that is a computer error. There were a couple of dc unbalanced codes. There was also a u6 code for machine speed error. The machine is going to need a new inverter pcb board and a new speed sensor. I order to get the basket to move. It may need more parts for the out of balance codes. I cannot tell without the machine fully running.

The dryer is fairly new and I didn?t see much lint inside. After 5 min of running it said to check vent for better performance on the lcd screen. I put the dryer on times dry and checked. The louvers for the outside vent were not opening. I ran my brush and cleaned the vent out it was really dirty. I went back in and put the dryer back on and tested again. No more dryer performance code. I ran the washer and didn?t find much going on with it. The customer stated it would bang against the wall on spin cycle. It was out of balance with no load so I leveled the washing machine and tested the spin cycle. The washer is fairly newer and had only an unbalanced load fault code stored in it.
